In Depth: Construction Phase

"It all started in March of 2006. We had our bit of dirt in Loreto, a place that promised to be everything we wanted in a Winter ‘escape’. We then talked with an onsite architect & designer about what we envisioned for our new home. After meeting over budget, size and some design concepts that we wanted to see in our home, we returned to Calgary to wait to see what the designers would create. Without boring you with the details, we spent the next 2 years trying to design our ‘dream’ home within our budget. It should have been simple, but it was proving to be impossible. We had decided by mid-2008 to give up on our home in Loreto.

Enter Bill Doyle and TCC. We met Bill in 2007 over breakfast to discuss his doing the onsite quality assurance of the building of our home. We were immediately impressed. Bill gave us more information in that first two hours than we had received in all our dealings with Loreto Bay and company.

When we later advised Bill that we were not going to build our home since we could not build the home we wanted within our budget, Bill took our plans and called us later to say that TCC could build the home we wanted and within our budget. More than that - he would guarantee the cost and the completion time for our home. He also had no problem with the design changes we had wanted but were told could not be done. Another huge plus was that, having been hired by hundreds of owners to oversee the construction of their homes independently of Loreto Bay Company, he had first hand knowledge of who the better contractors were and he was in a position to hire them.
